Training manual for addressing workplace violence in the health sector

Concise description:
Workplace violence is not only detrimental to the health and dignity of people at work but also to the productivity and profitability of an organization. This training manual presents an activity plan with ready-to-use PowerPoint sheets, assignments, and forms for a 3 day interactive and participative course in recognizing, preventing and counteraction workplace violence. The course is directed towards both physical and psychological violence. The training is addressed to a large audience, amongst others health personnel, representatives of professional organizations, trade unionists, administrators, managers and decision makers. The manual (132 pages) can be downloaded and the forms are ready and can be printed for immediate use. Although many examples and assignments come from the health care sector, it is possible to reformulate important parts so that the course will be suited also for other sectors. This will demand for a serious preparation by the teacher.
