The website of Workers’ Health Education has characterized all of its educational material and other content by metadata items. An explanation of each of the items is given in the following. Part of the explanations is based on the following sources:

Four levels are distinguished: 1: Awareness (the material is meant for anyone hardly known with the topic and intents to increase the awareness of health hazards and risks in the workplace, how they can be controlled to provide a safe working environment, and the consequences of impaired health for work); 2: Basic (the material is meant for workers in medicine, nursing or health and safety, and for committed non-professionals, to understand the basic principles of occupational safety and health and to solve simple problems their selves); 3: Intermediate (the material is meant for workers in the field of occupational safety and health and provides hands-on practical training and technical knowledge to be able to take measures, assess exposure or fitness for specified work, and evaluate effectiveness of control measures); 4: Advanced (the material is meant for specialists at the academic level and leads to a thorough understanding of the scientific basis of occupational safety and health and the highest level of technical skills). |

Aggregation level |
The functional granularity of the learning material. Four levels are distinguished: 1: Fragment: the smallest level of aggregation, a part of a lesson, e.g. a video fragment, explanation of a role play, etc. ; 2: Lesson: a collection of level 1 learning objects, together answering the learning objective(s) and to be completed within a restricted amount of time (typically ½-1 h, but may endure up to 3-4 h including breaks); 3: Module: a collection of level 2 learning objects together forming an educational unit and treating an isolated part of a broad topic, typically demanding for one half to several days; 4: Course: a collection of related level 3 learning objects which may demand for some days, weeks, or more. |

If relevant, indicates where and how successful completion of the training material can result in a document that certifies that certain tests have been passed and a certain education is followed. |
