This short lesson, designed for employers, managers, supervisors and front-line employees, teaches about mental health at work. It describes the impact of mental illness, the difference between mental illness and stress, and the major factors that put people at risk. Furthermore, it aims to recognize mental illness at work and to identify possible routes for the promotion of mental well-being.
The lesson is to be followed on-line free of charge and consists of mainly expositive material. It takes about half an hour. The lesson is really meant to raise awareness. Incidentally, links to some further reading are given. Also some sources to underpin data and statements are given, however, mostly incomplete.

A short and interactive lesson for the primary health care to help recognize and diagnose asthma and its occupational origin, and to make aware of steps that need to follow after diagnosis. Further, it is taught what to advice patients at the time of diagnosis and throughout the course of illness, and where to find additional information. The lesson is presented in English and, for the legal part, refers to the situation in the United Kingdom specifically. It is necessary to register first before the lesson can be approached.
The lesson consists mainly of multiple choice questions around specific cases and short explanatory texts. Feedback on the answers is provided. A pre- and post-test is examined. A certificate is provided (and can be printed) if the final score is at least 70%. The lesson can be followed and displayed on-line only.

This interactive lesson teaches about safety behavior, legislation and recognition of job-related hazards. Furthermore, the lesson is a guide in hazards that are common in the broad range of agricultural work, including working alone, violence, working with chemicals, slips and falls, lifting by hand, machinery and equipment, confined spaces, electricity, and handling animals. The lesson is especially made for new workers in agriculture, since these workers appear to have higher rates of injuries in the first months after starting their job. The situations and legal aspects describe the specific Canadian situation, but also hold more in general.
The lesson consists of three parts: (1) Introduction: recognition and laws, (2) Overview: safe working and safety programs, and (3) Examination. The lesson can followed on-line free of charge UNTIL NOVEMBER 2012 and consists of ready-to-use material. The text can also be downloaded. A free course consisting of 6 lessons in workplace safety and health. The following lessons are presented: 1. Hazards in the workplace, 2. Measuring Risk, 3. Controlling Risk, 4. Safety Statement, 5. Reporting Accidents and Incidents, and 6. Responsibility. The course is developed towards young people (post primary education) to introduce them into the health risks of work.
After the course, they are able to define safety hazards in the workplace, make a basic risk assessment and estimate risks, know the principles of prevention and identify control measures, know the content of a safety statement, identify key elements in reporting of accidents and the responsibilities of all people involved in the workplace.

This course aims to educate in the principles of occupational health services (OHS) in general, and in the strategies for developing Basic Occupational Health Services (BOHS) for primary health care providers. The course consists of the following 7 modules: 1. Introduction to Basic Occupational Health Services, 2. Stepwise development of the OHS system, 3. The BOHS cycle, 4. Surveillance of the work environment and of the workers’ health, 5. Prevention and education, 6. Diagnosis, therapy, rehabilitation, record keeping and evaluation, and 7. Organization and financing of BOHS. The first two modules can be followed for free; for participation of the full course, a small fee is to be paid.
